The Artist in our Midst Studio Tour exhibition and sale will take place at the Roundhouse Community Centre on May 16 from 10 am-10 pm. This event is also celebrating the 20th anniversary of Artists in our Midst and admission is free.
The 6th annual EPIC: the Sustainable Living Expo will take place at the Vancouver Convention Centre from May 11-13. Tickets are $15 or $12 for seniors and students; children 12 and under will be admitted free. Multi-day tickets are $23, or $12 for seniors and students.
The Canucks Autism Network Family Festival will be held at the Jack Poole Plaza of the Vancouver Convention Centre on April 1 from 10am - 3pm. Admission is free. The Canucks Autism Network’s mission is to “spread awareness and acceptance in order to build more inclusive, supportive communities.”
The Vancouver International Auto Show will take place at BC Place Stadium from April 3 to April 8. The auto show is a production of the New Car Dealers Association of B.C. Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and students. $5 for those aged 7-12 and free for children 6 and under; a family pass for 2 adults and 2 children is $30.
The 2nd annual Reason to Care Art re-sale and auction will take place at Heritage Hall on March 3 from 9 am-4 pm. Admission is free. Proceeds from the re-sale and auctions go to support the British Columbia Association for Community Living.
Desire: Art Auction 2012 will take place at the Vancouver Art Gallery and the Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver on February 18 from 6 pm- midnight. Tickets are $500 per person, $5,000 for a table of 10, $10,000 for a premier table of ten and $25,000 for an ultra premium table of 10. All proceeds go towards the Vancouver Art Gallery’s educational programs and exhibitions. The event is black tie optional.
February 20-24 is Chamber of Commerce week. It is a week in which to celebrate your local Chamber of Commerce. There are 125 Chambers of Commerce in British Columbia which support and advocate for local business leaders.
The Royal City Kids Fair will take place on January 21 from 9 am-5 pm at the Fraser River Discovery Centre in New Westminster. This is a free indoor event for the whole family.
The 18th annual Taste BC is coming to the Four Seasons Hotel on January 24, 2012 and will take place from 4:30-7:30 pm. Tickets are $49.99 and proceeds go toward the Oak Tree Clinic at BC Children’s Hospital. To date, Taste BC has raised $186,000 for the Oak Tree Clinic which provides specialized HIV/AIDS care.
The 14th annual Bright Nights in Stanley Park continues until January 2, 2012; it will be closed on Christmas Day. This event, sponsored by the Vancouver Park Board and the British Columbia Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund has been described as 'the most spectacular lighting display in Canada.'
